Allen & Gledhill announces that former CCS Chairman Lam Chuan Leong has joined our Firm

Allen & Gledhill is pleased to announce that Lam Chuan Leong has joined our Firm as a Senior Adviser in the Competition & Antitrust Practice.

Chuan Leong was the first Chairman of the Competition Commission of Singapore (“CCS”), a position he held for close to a decade, since the inception of the CCS in 2005. He was also the Chairman of the InfoComm Development Authority of Singapore from 1999 to 2007. 

Throughout his career, Chuan Leong has held key positions across a broad range of government agencies, including Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of National Development, the then Ministry of Environment, and Ministry of Communications and Information. He was also Ambassador-at-Large with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 1981 to 1984, he served as Principal Private Secretary to the then Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. 

The addition of Chuan Leong to our Competition & Antitrust Practice will further deepen our Firm’s capabilities in advising clients on competition, antitrust and regulatory matters, and strengthen our ability to provide innovative and commercially-viable solutions to our clients.
