Au Huey Ling has been a Partner in Financial Services since 2000. She has considerable experience in local and international debt offerings by both Singapore and foreign companies and in the listing on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited of foreign debt securities.

She also has experience in initial public offerings, equity issues and schemes of arrangements. Transactions of significance in which she has been involved include advising:

 

Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited on the issue of S$792 million Guaranteed Notes exchangeable into shares of Keppel Corporation Limited;

ST Treasury Services Ltd and Singapore Technologies Pte Ltd on the issue of S$350 million Guaranteed Notes exchangeable into shares of Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd and the issue of S$451 million Guaranteed Notes exchangeable into shares of CapitaLand Limited;

Singapore Airlines Limited on the establishment of its S$1 billion Multicurrency Medium Term Note Programme;

Volkswagen Financial Services Singapore Ltd on the establishment of its S$500 million Multicurrency Debt Issuance Programme;

PowerSeraya Limited on its maiden issue of S$350 million Fixed Rate Bonds;

MobileOne Ltd on its initial public offering in Singapore and international offering pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S of the U.S. Securities Act;

Various banks and foreign entities on the listing of foreign bonds on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited, including:

 
the US$500 million Guaranteed Notes due 2014 of The Hongkong Land Finance (Cayman Islands) Company Limited;
the US$200 million Subordinated Notes due 2015 of Industrial Bank of Korea;

the US$300 million Notes due 2009 of Industrial Development Bank of India;

the US$300 million Notes due 2034 of Korea Electric Power Corporation; and

the US$1 billion Notes due 2007 of Kingdom of Thailand

a syndicate of banks on the establishment of a combined MTN Programme and Transferable Loan Facility for CDL Properties Ltd secured over Republic Plaza; and

Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd on its international offering of US$500 million Senior Convertible Notes.
 

Huey Ling is cited in The Asia Pacific Legal 500 (2002/2003) as one of the outstanding partners in debt capital markets work. Huey Ling spent a year on secondment to Linklaters, London in 1998/1999 where she was actively involved in international MTN, bond and commercial paper issues. Huey Ling was called to the Singapore Bar in 1995.
