Christine Chan has been a Partner in Corporate
& Commercial since 1985. Her principal area of practice
is non-contentious corporate and commercial law, particularly
the establishment of companies, branch offices and representative
offices in Singapore, joint ventures, reorganisations, acquisitions
and divestments as well as immigration and employment related
issues.
She is also actively involved in the provision of company administration services to domestic companies listed on the Singapore Exchange and advises on corporate governance and compliance issues. She acts as director and company secretary to several domestic private companies as well as a statutory agent for a number of foreign companies with branches in Singapore .
Christine co-wrote with fellow-partner Lim Mei, the chapters on “Listing Requirements” and “Post-Listing Requirements” for the Singapore Company Secretarial Manual 1996 published by Thomson Information. She also co-wrote with fellow-partner Christina Ong, an article entitled “Interested Person Transactions and Listed Companies” published in The Singapore Law Gazette, July 1996. Christine was called to the Singapore Bar in 1981.
