Gina Lee-Wan joined Allen & Gledhill in 1997 as a Partner and co-heads the Maritime & Aviation Practice Group. Her practice encompasses contentious and non-contentious shipping matters, international trade and insurance matters, focusing primarily on ship construction, ship sale and purchase, and ship and aircraft financing.

Her clients include all of Singapore's major banks and shipowners and she has been involved in the majority of the ship finance transactions in Singapore.

Gina has spoken at the International Bar Association in New Delhi, India in 1997 on "The Sale & Purchase and Registration of Ships in Singapore" and has contributed to articles in The Business Times on the legal aspects of ship financing and Chapter 4 (Ships) in Halsbury's Laws of Singapore Vol 17(2) on Shipping, 2006 Edn.

Gina is frequently cited as an expert in shipping. According to Chambers Asia (2008), "she is respected for her wealth of experience, prompting clients to remark: 'Whatever you tell her, she has the skills and wherewithal to deal with it; she will give you so much information, and go after every detail.'"

According to Chambers Global (2004/2005), “Gina Lee-Wan is the key figure for ship finance in the region, appearing in deals such as the $110 million loan facility for the refinancing of a fleet of ships belonging to a Thai-Singapore group”. In Chambers Global (2005/2006), she is described as a “ship finance expert par excellence” who “plays an integral part in many of the largest deals around and has an unrivalled reputation with the leading banks.”

According to Who’s Who Legal Singapore (2008), Gina “‘stands out at the top of the field’ for her shipping finance practice. Known for her work on ship construction, sale and purchase, she counts all of Singapore’s major banks and ship owners among her clients and is a ‘pre-eminent authority in the region’.”

Gina has been a Deputy Commissioner of Maritime Affairs for Vanuatu in Singapore since 1996. She qualified as a Barrister-at-Law at Gray’s Inn in 1980. Gina was called to the Singapore Bar in 1981. She is a member of the Advisory Panel to the Singapore Maritime Foundation and an Honorary Legal Advisor to the Singapore Shipping Association.
