Glenn David Foo is a Partner in Financial Services. His practice encompasses debt capital markets and regulatory capital.

He has advised both issuers and managers on tapping the capital markets, covering, in particular, straight vanilla debt, hybrid capital and raising of regulatory capital for banks and insurers situated in Singapore, Asia and Europe. He also has experience in equity-linked securities as well as structured products.

Some of his transactional experience with Allen & Gledhill includes:

 

Malayan Banking Berhad’s S$600 million six per cent. Capital Securities Callable with Step-up in 2018 which qualified as Tier 1 Capital of the Bank and was the first regional bank to raise Singapore-dollar denominated capital from investors in Singapore;

Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd’s US$300 million convertible redeemable preference shares and amortizing bonds due 2010;

PSA Corporation Limited’s S$200 million Floating Rate Notes due 2008 and S$300 million Fixed Rate Notes due 2015;

Macquarie International Infrastructure Fund Limited’s Initial Public Offer of 437 million offering shares at S$1 for each offering share, which was the first infrastructure fund to be listed on the Singapore Exchange;

Flemington Associates Limited’s US$25 million Secured Equity Linked Notes; and

establishing structured note programmes and medium term note programmes for various entities, including Barclays Bank PLC, SembCorp Industries Ltd and Fraser & Neave Limited.

 

Glenn was an associate with Allen & Gledhill prior to moving to London in 2006 for two years with an international law firm before rejoining the Firm in 2008.

Glenn graduated from King's College London with an LLB (Hons) degree in 2000 and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2002. He is also admitted to the Rolls of Solicitors of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.
