Kenneth graduated as one of the top law students from the National University of Singapore in 2004 with an LLB (Hons) degree (First Class) and was awarded several academic prizes including the Law Society of Singapore Book Prize and Leow Chia Heng Prize, as well as the Kwa Geok Choo Scholarship and Shook Lin & Bok Scholarship. He represented NUS at the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, the Asia Cup International Law Moot Court Competition, and was a member of the team that won the Red Cross International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition.
In 2007, Kenneth was awarded a Hauser Global Scholarship to study at New York University School of Law where he obtained an LLM in 2008, and was Graduate Editor for the NYU Journal of International Law and Politics.
Kenneth was called to the Singapore Bar in March 2006 when he joined Allen & Gledhill, having passed the bar examinations as the top student in professional responsibility. Prior to joining the Firm, Kenneth served as Justices’ Law Clerk to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Singapore from 2004 to 2005, and thereafter as Legal Counsel at the Competition Commission of Singapore.
In 2010, Kenneth was selected to be placed on the Supreme Court’s Young Amicus Curiae list.
