Lim Teong Sit is a Partner in Financial Services. His areas of practice encompass structured finance, project finance and capital markets. His expertise also includes Islamic finance and mergers and acquisitions in Malaysia.
A graduate from the National University of Singapore, Teong Sit was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1984. He was admitted to the Supreme Court of Singapore in February 2007. Prior to joining Allen & Gledhill, Teong Sit was a Partner for more than 20 years in Shearn Delamore & Co in Malaysia where he headed the Financial Services Practice Group.
Teong Sit has written on various areas of corporate law including the Malaysian aspects of capital market transactions in "International Investment Law" (an MLR and Butterworth’s publication). Teong Sit has also edited a number of volumes of Malaysian Precedents & Forms published by Malayan Law Journal Sdn. Bhd. and is the general editor of the current volumes on Banking, Conveyancing and Corporations.
Teong Sit is noted for his expertise in banking and finance in Chambers Global and for his expertise in capital markets and M&A in The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers. He is also recognised as a leading lawyer in IFLR 1000.
