Jek Aun graduated from the University of Nottingham with an LLB (Hons) degree and was called to the Singapore Bar in 1998 and admitted to the Roll of Solicitors, England and Wales in 2001. Prior to joining Allen & Gledhill in 2003, he was involved in a broad range of corporate and financial services work at law firms in Singapore and Hong Kong. While in Hong Kong, he specialised in funds and regulatory work at a UK ‘magic circle’ law firm.
Jek Aun has been cited by leading international publications such as Chambers Asia, IFLR’s Expert Guide to the World’s Leading Investment Funds Lawyers and PLC Which Lawyer? for his expertise in investment funds and highlighted by Chambers Global as a key individual in the firm's funds practice. He also speaks and writes regularly on legal issues concerning the fund management industry, and recently co-wrote the Singapore Chapter of the International Guide to Hedge Fund Regulation (Bloomsbury Professional,2009). Jek Aun is a member of AIMA.
