Moi Sok Ling is a Partner in Intellectual Property & Technology and is a member of the IP Protection and Management Practice Group.
Sok Ling’s expertise centres on contentious as well as non-contentious aspects of IP work. She has extensive experience in IP protection and management, having advised many local and international clients on global branding strategies, IP commercialisation and licensing related issues. Sok Ling has gained substantial experience in the filing and prosecution of trade marks and designs as well as the management of clients’ worldwide IP portfolio. She currently manages large IP portfolio for many clients of the Firm.
Sok Ling has advised on, negotiated and drafted a wide range of commercial agreements related to IP, such as IP securitisation, assignment and licensing, trade mark co-existence, co-branding, advertising and agency, media editorial and publishing, supply, manufacturing and distributorship, research and development, non-disclosure of confidential information, franchising and e-commerce. Sok Ling also has practical and relevant experience in IP contentious work, having acted for clients in trade mark opposition and revocation proceedings as well as in IP litigation and enforcement matters involving Anton Piller Orders and police raids.
Sok Ling graduated from the National University of Singapore with an LLB (Hons) degree in 2000 and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2001. Prior to joining Allen & Gledhill in 2006, she worked in the Intellectual Property & Technology department at another leading law firm in Singapore.
