Oh Hsiu-Hau is a Partner in Corporate & Commercial. His areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions (both by way of acquisition of shares and acquisition of businesses), joint ventures (in respect of both companies and limited liability partnerships), corporate restructuring and corporate administration. He also advises on employment law and general corporate compliance issues.

His transaction experience includes:

 

acting for Clipsal Industries (Holdings) Limited (now known as CIH Limited) in its 50-50 joint venture with Schneider Electric S.A. which involved transfer of businesses in various Asian jurisdictions;

acting for Lucasfilm Ltd in its joint venture in Singapore with a consortium for the establishment of Lucasfilm Animation Singapore Pte Ltd, a Singapore company engaged in the production of animated film and television works and video games;

acting for CIMB Berhad on its acquisition of the stockbroking business of G. K. Goh Holdings Limited;

acting for a Singapore consortium (comprising Temasek Holdings (Pte) Ltd and EDB Investments) in an investment in Rolls Royce Fuel Cells Systems Ltd, a UK company, in joint venture with Rolls Royce plc;

acting in the S$9.4 billion corporate restructuring exercise involving the transfer of both listed and unlisted companies and assets held by Singapore Technologies Pte Ltd to Temasek Holdings (Pte) Ltd;

acting for SembCorp Industries Ltd in its divestment of SembCorp Engineers and Constructors Pte Ltd;

acting for Hin Leong Trading (Pte.) Ltd. in its joint venture with PetroChina Company Limited in respect of a S$750 million oil storage facility in Singapore;

acting for Singapore Exchange Derivatives Trading Ltd in its joint venture with The Chicago Board of Trade to establish a commodities derivatives exchange in Singapore; and

acting in respect of investments (debt and equity) into various companies in the bio-medical sector in Singapore.

Hsiu-Hau graduated from the National University of Singapore with an LLB (Hons) degree and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2001 after completing his pupillage at Allen & Gledhill. Thereafter, he joined the Firm as an Associate.
