Christopher Ong is a Partner in Financial Services. His principal areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and corporate advisory work for listed companies. Christopher is also actively involved in the listing of structured warrant programmes on the Singapore Exchange. In 2005 he was seconded to the London office of Linklaters LLP where he worked on private equity transactions.

His transaction experience includes advising:

•	the shareholders of Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise Pte Ltd (“SALE”) on the sale of their shareholdings in SALE;
•	GP Industries Limited on its privatisation of CIH Limited;
•	Nera Telecommunications Ltd on the sale of its shares in Nera Electronics Ltd;
•	Och-Ziff Capital Management and CIM VII Limited in their subscription of redeemable convertible non-cumulative preference shares in China Hongxing Sports Limited;
•	SEDCO on the acquisition of a substantial shareholding interest in CNA Group Ltd.;
•	Citibank in respect of the transfer of the consumer banking business from the Singapore branch of Citibank, N.A. to Citibank Singapore Limited and the subsequent restructuring of the Citigroup companies in the Asia Pacific; and
•	NewSmith Capital in respect of its subscription of redeemable non-cumulative convertible preference shares in FibreChem Technologies Limited.

Christopher graduated from the National University of Singapore with an LLB (Hons) degree in 2001. He was called to the Singapore Bar in 2002 when he joined Allen & Gledhill.
