Ronnie Quek is a Partner in Litigation & Dispute
Resolution. His areas of practice encompass corporate
insolvency and restructuring, schemes of arrangement and
composition, the creation of mortgages, charges and other
security and agreements relating to the telecommunications,
power and petrochemical industries, corporate acquisitions
and joint ventures (including shareholders’ agreements, sale
of shares and businesses).
He has advised financial institutions, accounting firms and
judicial managers on corporate insolvencies and debt
restructuring involving major corporations.
Ronnie was a Council Member
of the Law Society of Singapore from 1999 to 2004 and the
Vice President of the Law Society of Singapore in 2003.
He was also a member of the Senate of the Singapore Academy
of Law from 2001 to 2003 and a member of the Accounting
Standards Committee of the Institute of Certified Public
Accountants of Singapore from 2002 to 2004.
He was one of two co-chairmen of
the Ministry of Finance study team on limited liability
partnerships and limited partnerships.
Ronnie was called to the Singapore Bar in 1980. He is
regularly cited as a leading insolvency and restructuring
practitioner by various legal publications. Recent ones
include The Asia Pacific Legal 500 (2006/2007 and
2007/2008), Who’s Who Legal Singapore (2008) and
IFLR 1000: The Guide to the World's Leading Financial Law
Firms (2005). |
