Suresh Nair is a Partner in Litigation & Dispute Resolution. His areas of practice include general commercial and corporate litigation, banking, insolvency, employment disputes and professional negligence.
Suresh has acted for companies and financial institutions in several substantial cases involving corporate fraud in multiple jurisdictions. He has also acted for liquidators, judicial managers and creditors in various substantial corporate insolvencies, and has been involved in various cross-border winding up petitions involving companies in Singapore, Malaysia and the Bahamas, amongst others. Suresh has also been involved in substantial international arbitrations under the auspices of the International Chamber of Commerce and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.
Suresh graduated from the National University of Singapore with an LLB (Hons) degree in 1993. He joined Allen & Gledhill shortly before he was called to the Singapore Bar, in 1994. He became a Partner in Litigation & Dispute Resolution in 2000. Suresh left the firm in 2002 to spend a year as a Legal Officer at the United Nations Compensation Commission in Geneva. He rejoined the firm in 2003. He is also qualified as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales.
