Tan Sai Hong is a Partner in Financial Services. She has been involved in the establishment, authorisation and recognition of local and offshore collective investment schemes for retail and restricted offer in Singapore.

She also advises fund managers in the listing of their local and offshore collective investment schemes as exchange traded funds on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited ("SGX-ST").

Recent transactions of significance in which she has been involved include:

 

Daiwa Asset Management (Singapore) Ltd's primary listing of Singapore’s first Shariah-compliant exchange traded fund, Daiwa FTSE Shariah Japan 100, on the SGX-ST;

Lyxor International Asset Management's secondary listing of the Lyxor ETF Commodities CRB (Reuters/Jefferies CRB Index) and the Lyxor ETF Hong Kong (HSI) and primary listing of the Lyxor ETF India (S&P CNX NIFTY) and the Lyxor ETF MSCI Taiwan, on the SGX-ST;

recognition of the Lyxor Oracle Series - The S&P All Stars Global Income Fund (SGD) and The S&P All Stars Global Income Fund (USD), UCITS III schemes established in France, for retail offer in Singapore;

recognition of Fidelity Investments Management (Hong Kong) Limited's Luxembourg domiciled umbrella fund, Fidelity MultiManager SICAV, for retail offer in Singapore;

establishment and authorisation of DBS Asset Management Ltd's fund of funds umbrella scheme known as Fast Track Global Portfolios, for retail offer in Singapore; and

establishment and authorisation of Schroder Investment Management (Singapore) Ltd's Schroder LiveSure 2025 Fund, a sub-fund of the Schroder Advantage Series, for retail offer in Singapore.

 

Sai Hong graduated from the National University of Singapore with an LLB (Hons) degree and was called to the Singapore Bar in 1988 when she joined Allen & Gledhill. She became a Partner in 1995. In 2002, she left to head the Legal Division of Singapore Land Authority (a statutory board under the Ministry of Law) and rejoined the Firm in 2006.
