Teoh Chia Yin is a Partner in Corporate & Commercial. Her principal area of practice is in corporate and commercial law, with a special focus on corporate regulatory and compliance work. She has assisted many foreign companies in the setting up of a business presence in Singapore and has experience in a wide variety of corporate work including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, local and regional joint ventures and employment matters.

Her transaction experience includes:
 
•

advising various SGX-ST listed companies and private companies on governance and compliance issues, employee share and incentive schemes, scrip dividend schemes and other corporate transactions;
•

advising Tokyu Corporation in relation to the divestment of all its shares in Hotel Marina City Private Limited and Pan Pacific Hotel and Resorts Pte Ltd;
•

advising Flextronics International Ltd on its acquisition of Solectron Corporation; and
•

advising CDL Hospitality Real Estate Investment Trust in its sale and purchase of the hotel known as Novotel Clarke Quay.

 

Chia Yin graduated from University College London with an LLB (Hons) degree in 2001. She was called to the Singapore Bar in 2003 when she joined Allen & Gledhill. She is also admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.
