Sarah Teo is a Partner in Financial Services. She has a broad range of experience in the establishment and authorisation of Singapore unit trusts, the recognition of offshore collective investment schemes in Singapore and advising fund managers and fund trustees on compliance issues, on investment management agreements and other service level agreements.

Recent transactions of significance in which she has been involved include:

 

the listing of units in a range of exchange traded funds managed by Lyxor International Asset Management (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Société Générale) on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited;

the recognition of various sub-funds under the Irish domiciled Celsius Funds plc managed by Barclays Capital Fund Solutions (the investment management team within Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank PLC) and the Luxembourg domiciled DB Platinum IV and DB Platinum managed by Deutsche Bank AG for retail offer in Singapore;

the recognition of two sub-funds under the Schroder Alternative Solutions (an investment company registered under Part II of the Luxembourg Law of 20 December 2002 relating to undertakings for collective investment) managed by Schroder Investment Management Limited for retail offer in Singapore; and

advising HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) Limited on the listing of units in the ABF Pan Asia Bond Index Fund on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, and the listing of units in the ABF Singapore Bond Index Fund and the iShares MSCI India on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.

 

Sarah graduated from University College London with an LLB (Hons) degree in 2000. She was called to the Singapore Bar in 2002 and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors, England and Wales in 2004. Sarah also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (majoring in Accounting and Commercial Law) from the University of Sydney.
