On 26 January 2010, we held a session featuring Vinod Dhall (Founder, Dhall Law Chambers and Former Acting Chairman and founder member of the Competition Commission of India) who spoke on “India’s Emerging Competition Law: What You Need to Know”. This session was part of a master class series hosted by the Competition & Antitrust Practice of Allen & Gledhill LLP. The Competition Law Master Class Series consists of small and focused sessions on key competition law developments by antitrust experts. As one of Singapore’s oldest and largest competition and antitrust practices replete with an economics team pre-dating the enactment of the Competition Act in 2006, the Competition & Antitrust Practice of Allen & Gledhill will curate and moderate periodic talks by internationally-renowned practitioners, economists and academics in the field of competition law.

The International Arbitration Practice of Allen & Gledhill LLP held a special master class seminar on 19 November 2009. The seminar was led by our Litigation & Dispute Resolution Partners and covered arbitration topics including the pros and cons of arbitration, the process of arbitration, drafting an effective arbitration clause and enforcement of arbitration awards.

In 2009, Allen & Gledhill LLP held a Banking Litigation Master Class Series comprising four focused sessions which explored bank strategies, obligations and rights in a fundamentally changed and dynamic environment.
