Jason is the Co-Head of the Firm’s White Collar & Investigations Practice. He focuses on commercial litigation and international arbitration. He regularly advises local and overseas corporations on regulatory and white-collar criminal compliance matters, including market misconduct, corporate fraud and corruption. He also advises on corporate investigations and inquiries relating to regulatory and white-collar criminal compliance issues.
Jason is recommended by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific for his expertise in dispute resolution, where he is described as “highly eloquent” and “extremely fast in sizing up any complex issues”. He has received numerous awards and commendations for outstanding advocacy. Jason was named as the best oralist in the Championship Round of 2001 Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, and was awarded The Law Society of Singapore’s Practical Law Course Advocacy Prize in 2002.
Prior to joining Allen & Gledhill, Jason was an Assistant Registrar at the Supreme Court of Singapore. Prior to that, he had served as a Deputy Public Prosecutor and State Counsel in the Attorney-General's Chambers of Singapore, and as a Justices’ Law Clerk in the Supreme Court of Singapore.
Jason graduated from the National University of Singapore with an LLB (Hons) degree (First Class) in 2002. In 2009, on an academic scholarship, he obtained an LLM from Columbia University in the City of New York.
Jason serves as a member of several committees of the Singapore Academy of Law, including the Law Reform Committee. In 2008, he was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
