Our history

Established in 1902, Allen & Gledhill has grown from a colonial partnership of two to become one of the largest and leading firms in Singapore, and presently, an award-winning regional firm in South-east Asia. We are home to many legal luminaries, including David Marshall (Singapore’s first elected Chief Minister), Wee Chong Jin (Singapore’s first Asian Chief Justice), K. Shanmugam (Singapore’s third Minister for Law since its independence in 1965, and current Minister for Law and Minister for Home Affairs), Edwin Tong (Singapore’s current Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law) and Lucien Wong (Singapore’s ninth and current Attorney-General). The launch of our regional office in Vietnam reflects our confidence in the robust fundamentals and potential of the Vietnam economy and allows us the valued opportunity to contribute to the country’s ongoing success.
