Prior to joining AGI Legal, Oene was a foreign legal counsel with a leading law firm in Indonesia. He has been based in Jakarta, Indonesia since 1998 and has extensive experience in working with international agencies as well as private investors in the region. He is native Dutch; and is proficient in Dutch, Bahasa Indonesia, English, French and German.

He has also been listed as a Recommended lawyer for Energy in the Lexology Index: Southeast Asia 2024 guide and ranked as Highly Regarded for Capital Markets, M&A and Project Finance by IFLR1000.

Oene于1994年毕业于阿姆斯特丹大学，获得法学博士学位，并于1995年获得杜克大学法学硕士学位。

Oene graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Amsterdam in 1994 and obtained an LL.M. in 1995 from Duke University.
