Myanmar introduces additional reporting requirements for companies sponsoring visas

On 9 May 2025, the Myanmar Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (“DICA”) announced additional reporting requirements for companies issuing recommendations for entry visas and visa extensions. 

Effective immediately, companies employing foreign nationals must report to DICA via email changes in the status of the visa holder. Status changes include a change in the foreign national’s current position, employment status, change of address or phone number, and his departure from Myanmar.
