Our office in Myanmar was established in 2014 in response to the potential and growth of Myanmar as a thriving South-east Asian economy.  Based in Yangon, Allen & Gledhill (Myanmar) is fully licensed to provide Myanmar legal advice and Myanmar legal opinions.  We also act extensively in cross-border transactions involving or relating to Myanmar.  Comprising local lawyers familiar with the business environment, laws and practices of Myanmar, as well as foreign qualified lawyers with expertise and experience in cross-border transactions, Allen & Gledhill (Myanmar) is further supported by the regional network and resources of A&G Asia, placing us in an ideal position to combine sound local knowledge with regional capabilities and international best practices to provide value-added advice and unparalleled service to our clients.

Led by Minn Naing Oo, a Singapore and New York qualified lawyer fluent in the Myanmar language and attuned to the Myanmar business community, Minn has extensive experience advising both foreign investors and local businesses on their projects in Myanmar.  With a team of over 30 lawyers, Allen & Gledhill (Myanmar) has been involved a number of significant transactions and matters which have marked the emergence of modern Myanmar. 

Although operational since 2014, Allen & Gledhill (Myanmar) has already gained a notable reputation for advising local conglomerates and organisations, as well as multinational or international clients, across diversified industry sectors.  In 2018, Allen & Gledhill (Myanmar) was accorded the International Financial Law Review (IFLR) Asia Awards Most Innovative National Law Firm of the Year (Myanmar) Award for the first time.
