On 11 March 2020, the World Health Organization declared the Covid-19 outbreak to be a pandemic, and we have seen the Covid-19 crisis evolve into one of global proportions. This has caused great uncertainty and unprecedented disruptions to businesses in Singapore and around the world. Without a doubt, Covid-19 is expected to result in a significant impact on the Singapore and global economy. This article explores some legal issues arising from the outbreak and considers how businesses can effectively respond in this challenging new environment.
