Foreign companies in Myanmar allowed to export certain previously restricted goods from 6 June 2019
Effective from 6 June 2019, foreign companies and joint ventures between foreign companies and Myanmar companies are allowed to purchase seven categories of goods from local manufacturers for export.
The categories stated in the Myanmar Ministry of Commerce Notification No. 24 of 2019 are as follows:
- Meat and fish
- Value-added crops
- Pulp and varieties of paper
- Seeds
- Refined ores
- Fruit-based value-added semi-finished or finished products
- Wood-based furniture
