Myanmar Internal Revenue Department launches Tax Payment Portal
On 23 September 2024, the Myanmar Internal Revenue Department (“IRD”) announced that it had launched a Tax Payment Hub Portal (“Portal”) on 1 September 2024.
The Portal is an e-payment gateway on the IRD website, available here, that will allow payment of taxes through mobile payment options. This Portal is available to medium and large corporate taxpayers and individual taxpayers under Township Tax Offices with valid taxpayer identification numbers.
With the launch of the Portal, taxpayers can now make electronic payments via:
- UAB Bank’s mobile payment services such as “UAB Pay” and “UAB banking”; or
- MPU Debit Card (e-Commerce).
