Allen & Gledhill Partner Loong Tse Chuan authored the 2025 update to the Legal Professional Privilege and Professional Secrecy: Overview (Singapore) practice note for Practical Law. The practice note provides an overview of the laws in Singapore relating to the protection available to lawyer-client communications in business and commercial situations, and the best practices for preserving the confidentiality, privilege, and secrecy in those communications. In the context of privilege and professional secrecy rules, the practice note also considers the definition of lawyers and clients, the impact of a common interest in or joint representation on the applicability of privilege, and the application of privilege in an internal investigation or an M&A transaction.

Loong Tse Chuan also contributed the Singapore content to the Practical Law Legal Professional Privilege, Confidentiality, and Professional Secrecy quick compare chart. This chart provides guidance on the laws relating to lawyer-client communications including their application on third parties, foreign, and in-house lawyers, and in relation to cross-border disputes. The quick compare chart, which is available to subscribers, allows researchers to quickly discover, review, and compare information across multiple jurisdictions in a user-friendly visual format.
