Vietnam revised Land Law in effect from 1 January 2025
On 18 January 2024, the Vietnam National Assembly passed Land Law No. 31/2024/QH15 (“2024 Law”), which will come into effect from 1 January 2025 and replace Land Law No. 45/2013/QH13 and its amendments. The adoption of the 2024 Law, accompanied by the Law on Real Estate Business 2023 and the Law on Residential Housing 2023, is expected to tackle the practical difficulties that Vietnam’s real estate market has experienced during the past decade.
