Junwei specialises in Tax and Private Wealth. He serves as the Co-Head of the Firm’s Private Wealth Practice.

He has deep expertise in Singapore tax law across income tax, stamp duty and goods and services tax, and extensive experience on cross-border tax matters across the Asia-Pacific region. He regularly assists both multinational enterprises and high net worth individuals on complex, multi-jurisdictional tax issues. These include private wealth structuring, fund structuring, private equity and real estate investments, cross-border financing, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate re-organisations.

Junwei also advises family offices and high net worth individuals on Private Wealth matters, including on trusts, philanthropy, and immigration matters.

Junwei draws from broad experience from prior roles in legal and accounting firms. As such, his practice extends to tax reporting considerations under Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Common Reporting Standard (CRS), and the ‘Pillar 2’ global minimum tax, as well as to contentious tax matters before the Board of Review or the Singapore Courts.

He is a committee member of the Tax & Trusts Committee within the Law Society of Singapore.
