Jeremy Seow

Jeremy is a Counsel in the Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions Department at Allen & Gledhill. Jeremy regularly advises on both domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and divestments, and joint ventures as well as general corporate and commercial law. Jeremy also has considerable experience in corporate restructurings (including share and business transfers, amalgamations, and spin-offs) and other capital-related transactions.
Jeremy joined Allen & Gledhill in 2018 after graduating from the National University of Singapore with an LL.B. (Hons) degree. During his time at Allen & Gledhill, Jeremy undertook a 6-month stint in the Hong Kong office of Slaughter and May, where he advised on and executed high-value and cross-border transactions. He also undertook a secondment as Regional Legal Counsel at Lazada, a leading e-commerce operator in Southeast Asia, where he worked closely with management on the business and commercial aspects of corporate finance and strategy.
Work Highlights
- Advised Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation, as transaction counsel, on its US$7.8 billion joint venture with NXP Semiconductors N.V. to build a new 300mm semiconductor wafer manufacturing facility in Singapore.
- Advised Singapore Press Holdings Limited (“SPH”), then an operator of leading newspapers and other mass media outlets in Singapore listed on the Singapore Exchange, as transaction counsel, on (i) the restructuring by SPH of its media business by way of a business transfer, valued in excess of S$250 million, to a not-for-profit entity, followed by (ii) the privatisation of SPH by way of a competitive bid valuing SPH at around S$3.4 billion.
- Advised Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited and Ascendas-Singbridge Pte. Ltd., as transaction counsel, on the S$11 billion sale of the real estate-related business of Ascendas-Singbridge to CapitaLand Limited.
- Advised Swire Beverage Holdings, as transaction counsel, on its acquisition of the Coca-Cola bottling operations in Vietnam and Cambodia, a deal valued at over US$1 billion*.
