Michelle specialises in domestic and cross-border ship financing and in non-contentious aviation matters such as aircraft finance, leasing, aircraft sale and purchase and registration.

Her practice includes acting for lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured lending, leasing and financing transactions involving vessels and aircraft. She has represented local and foreign banks, financial institutions, export credit agencies, airlines, owners and lessees in various financing transactions.

Work Highlights

• Advising an export credit agency in relation to the financing and leasing of aircraft to subsidiaries of an airline.
• Acted as counsel for a syndicate of banks in relation to certain credit facilities in excess of US$2 billion granted to an owner and operator of semi-submersible accommodation and service rigs.
• Acted as lead counsel for local banks on the US$300 million term financing and a US$45 million bridging financing to fund the conversion of a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) system.
