Allen & Gledhill Partners Kok Chee Wai, Aloysius Ng, and Shaun See Tow contributed the 2026 update to the Practical Law practice note on Lending and Taking Security in Singapore: Overview. The practice note provides a high-level overview of the lending market, forms of security over assets, special purpose vehicles in secured lending, quasi-security, and guarantees. It covers creation and registration requirements for security interests, problem assets over which security is difficult to grant, risk areas for lenders, structuring the priority of debts, debt trading and transfer mechanisms, agent and trust concepts, enforcement of security interests, borrower insolvency, and cross-border issues on loans.

Chee Wai, Aloysius, and Shaun also contributed also contributed the Singapore content to the Practical Law quick compare chart on Enforcement of Security Interests and Borrower Insolvency. The quick compare chart, which is available to subscribers, allows researchers to quickly discover, review, and compare information across multiple jurisdictions in a user-friendly visual format.
