Practical Law: Discovery - Singapore (2025)
Allen & Gledhill Partner Cheryl Chong contributed the 2025 update to the Discovery: Overview (Singapore) practice note for Practical Law. The practice note addresses the discovery process in litigation under Singapore law, and in particular under the Rules of Court 2021. It provides an overview of the discovery process in Singapore courts, including the scope of discoverable material, how discovery takes place, the court’s role in managing discovery, e-discovery, and grounds to refuse discovery. It also addresses topics of particular concern to global practitioners, such as the use of disclosed documents in other proceedings and third-party discovery.
