On 31 March 2026, Enterprise Singapore issued a press release on the economic ties between Singapore and Shandong which were reaffirmed at the 26th Singapore-Shandong Business Council meeting. The meeting saw 10 agreements between Singapore and Shandong companies signed, covering projects across areas of mutual interest such as trade and connectivity, green economy, and modern services, demonstrating the sustained momentum from Singapore and Shandong companies to forge strategic partnerships in these areas.

Bilateral trade between Singapore and Shandong reached RMB57.13 billion in 2025. On the investment front, Singapore companies have invested in over 2,200 projects in Shandong as of 2025, amounting to over US$19 billion in cumulative investments.

The press release discusses Singapore companies’ recent forays into Shandong in various initiatives included trade and connectivity, the green economy, and modern services. It also notes that Shandong companies continued to explore growth opportunities in Singapore, tapping on networks to expand into the region. As of 2025, more than 300 Shandong companies have established operations in Singapore.
