Sarah’s principal area of practice is in investment funds, specialising in retail collective investment schemes (including exchange traded funds and variable capital companies).

Her experience broadly comprises the establishment and seeking of regulatory approval/registration of collective investment schemes and advising fund management companies on both retail and restricted offers of funds in Singapore, including related marketing/advertising and on-going regulatory or compliance matters.

Sarah has extensive experience in advising fund managers on the listing of investment funds on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited and the on-going listing obligations and compliance issues. She regularly advises trust companies and approved trustees of retail collective investment schemes on fund offering and constitutive documents and related regulatory and compliance issues.

Sarah is recommended for her expertise in investment funds by various legal directories such as Chambers Asia-Pacific and The Legal 500 Asia Pacific. Chambers notes that Sarah is a “responsive and hands-on partner who provides advice that is commercially viable” to her clients. In The Legal 500, Sarah is lauded for providing “‘commercially sound advice’ on retail collective investment schemes and exchange-traded funds”. She is also one of the endorsed lawyers named in the Investment Funds field in Singapore in the 2011 Practical Law Company (PLC) Cross-border Investment Funds Handbook.

Sarah co-authored the Singapore chapter on Public Investment Funds 2019 for the International Comparative Legal Guide (ICLG) to Public Investment Funds Laws and Regulations (2nd Edition), and the chapter on Regulatory Framework: Singapore in the Exchange Traded Funds in Asia (Courses & Seminars, 2010/2011).

Sarah joined the Firm in 2005 and has been a Partner since 2008.
