EnterpriseSG announces enhanced support for SMEs’ sustainability efforts - New SME Sustainability Hub and Productivity Solutions Grant carbon management solutions category
28 May 2025
On 6 May 2024, Enterprise Singapore (“EnterpriseSG”) announced the launch of the SME Sustainability Hub website. This development was supported by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, National Environment Agency, national water agency PUB, and other agencies. The website is designed to help small- and medium-sized enterprises (“SMEs”) in Singapore access information on all Government support and resources as they kickstart their sustainability journey. Additionally, SMEs can now tap new carbon management solutions under the Productivity Solutions Grant (“PSG”) to support their decarbonisation efforts.
SME Sustainability Hub
The SME Sustainability Hub (“Hub”) serves as a one-stop-hub to guide SMEs on key sustainability topics, including sustainability reporting and carbon management, and enables self-assessment of their environmental performance. SMEs can access information on sustainability support programmes and resources offered by different Singapore Government agencies on a single platform. These include:
- financial schemes and programmes to defray costs that enterprises may incur as they start their sustainability journey;
- training and development courses to help enterprises and their employees develop green skills and competencies;
- guides and playbooks to build sustainability capabilities within the domain or sector;
- standards, frameworks, and conformity assessments to build trust in sustainable products, services, or business practices; and
- sustainability-related policies and regulations that may be relevant to business operations.
Other features include case studies for SMEs to learn best practices from peers that have started their sustainability journey, and an e-Adviser for Sustainability Resources that helps enterprises identify the relevant information and resources available based on their sustainability needs.
The Hub also incorporates feedback from local businesses and industry partners such as trade associations and chambers.
New carbon management solutions category under Productivity Solutions Grant
One of the sustainability support programmes on the Hub is the PSG for pre-scoped carbon management solutions by EnterpriseSG and Info-communications Media Development Authority.
The solutions will help SMEs build carbon accounting capabilities, including providing advisory on data input for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. By understanding their emissions profile, SMEs can identify carbon reduction opportunities, prepare for evolving regulatory, customer and investor requirements, and enhance their competitiveness in a low-carbon economy.
SMEs looking to further advance their carbon management and reporting capabilities can also tap the PSG for Scope 3 emissions calculations, decarbonisation target setting, supply chain emissions management, and public reporting preparation.
The list of vendors and solutions under this category will be updated progressively. More information is available on the GoBusiness Singapore Carbon Management Solutions webpage.
