Jeremy Tan

Jeremy’s principal areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, joint ventures, corporate restructuring and general corporate advisory work.
He has extensive experience advising private equity firms, venture capital investors, multinational corporations and corporate clients ranging from startups to large, listed companies on domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions and other corporate transactions, across a broad range of industries.
Jeremy graduated from The University of Manchester with an LL.B. (First Class Honours) in 2015 and was a recipient of the RG Lawson Prize for Contemporary Issues in European Union Law.
Jeremy has undertaken secondments to the Singapore offices of a listed Southeast Asian investment holding company and a global investment manager, and is currently on secondment to the Hong Kong office of a magic circle law firm.
Work Highlights
- Advising Black Spade Acquisition Co., a special purpose acquisition company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, on its US$23 billion business combination with VinFast Auto.
- Advising AirPower Technologies Limited, a portfolio company of PAG, on its strategic investment into Smart-Gas Pte. Ltd.
- Advising B Capital Group on its investment in the US$53 million Series B funding round, and the US$100 million Series C funding round, in Fazz.
- Advising Jollibee Foods Corporation and the Viet Thai International Joint Stock Company on their acquisition of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for US$350 million.
- Advising KKR on its S$45 million investment in Barghest Building Performance. The investment is KKR’s first investment out of its Global Impact fund and the deal was awarded the ESG Award of Distinction at the Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association Annual Awards 2019.
