Wei Ting specialises in banking and finance. He regularly acts for banks, syndicates, major corporates and private equity firms on domestic and cross-border financings.

His practice covers general lending, syndicated finance, real estate finance, leveraged / investment grade acquisition finance and takeover finance. Wei Ting’s expertise in banking and finance has been consistently recognised by Chambers Asia-Pacific, IFLR1000 and The Legal 500 Asia Pacific.

Wei Ting graduated from Oxford University with a B.C.L. (Distinction), and currently sits on the Singapore Documentation Committee of the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association.

  • Acted for DBS Bank, Maybank, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation and United Overseas Bank, as Global Coordinators, on the S$8.67 billion facilities to Marina Bay Sands to finance, inter alia, the expansion of the iconic Marina Bay Sands integrated resort.
  • Acted for DBS Bank, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation, MUFG, Sumitomo-Mitsui Banking Corporation and United Overseas Bank on the S$1.02 billion facilities to Jewel Changi Airport Trust to refinance the development of Jewel Changi Airport.
  • Acted for City Developments on the £660 million facilities from Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation to finance the general offer for Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Group.
  • Acted for United Overseas Bank on the S$1.1 billion facilities to a consortium led by Perennial Real Estate Holdings and Yanlord Land Group to finance the general offer for the United Engineers Group and WBL Group.
