Establishment of Fraser and Neave, Limited’s Myanmar joint venture for the development of a US$50 million greenfield brewery plant
Allen & Gledhill advised F&N Investments Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fraser and Neave, Limited (“F&N”), as transaction counsel, on the establishment of its Myanmar joint venture company, Emerald Brewery Myanmar Ltd (“EBML”), and the development of EBML’s US$50 million greenfield brewery plant.
The EBML brewery in Myanmar is expected to produce and distribute a portfolio of beer brands, including those owned by Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, a strategic investor of F&N.
Advising F&N were Managing Director Minn Naing Oo from the Myanmar office of Allen & Gledhill as well as Partners Chiam Tao Koon, Sathiaseelan Jagateesan and Charmelia Sugianto from the Singapore office of Allen & Gledhill.
