Jason Chan is a Senior Counsel in the Firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, investigations and arbitration. Jason is also the Co-Head of the Firm’s White Collar & Investigations Practice. As a former prosecutor and judicial officer, he often advises on regulatory and white-collar criminal cases, such as market misconduct, regulatory breaches, corporate fraud and corruption.   

Jason is recommended by Chambers Asia-Pacific, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific and has been recognised as a Dispute Resolution Star in Benchmark Litigation. He is described as being “highly eloquent” and “extremely fast in sizing up any complex issues”. He is the author of the Singapore chapter in numerous white collar and anti-corruption publications, including The International Comparative Legal Guide to Corporate Investigations, The Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Review, and The Global Legal Insights to Bribery & Corruption.

Prior to joining Allen & Gledhill, Jason was an Assistant Registrar at the Supreme Court of Singapore. He had previously served as a Deputy Public Prosecutor and State Counsel in the Attorney-General’s Chambers of Singapore, and as a Justices’ Law Clerk in the Supreme Court of Singapore.

Jason graduated from the National University of Singapore with an LL.B. (Hons) Degree (First Class) in 2002. He received numerous academic prizes as a law student. In 2009, he obtained an LL.M. from Columbia University in the City of New York.

Jason is a Council member of the Law Society of Singapore. He also serves on the Singapore Academy of Law’s Law Reform Committee, the Professional Values Chapter and Criminal Legal Assistance Steering Committee.
