Jerald is a Partner in the Merger & Acquisitions practice group. He has acted for sovereign wealth funds, publicly listed companies and private equity firms in transactions across a range of industries, including real estate, healthcare, offshore & marine engineering and e-commerce. Jerald has experience in domestic and cross-border transactions, and has advised clients in public offers, schemes of arrangement, private acquisitions and disposals, and joint ventures.

Jerald graduated with a Summa Cum Laude in Law (LL.B.) and Business Management (BBM, Finance) from the Singapore Management University, where he was also part of the SMU team that won the prestigious Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot for the first time.

Work Highlights

  • Acted for Sembcorp Marine Ltd in its approximately S$4.5 billion combination with Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd.
  • Acted for the Perennial group in its divestment of a 50 per cent. stake in the former AXA tower to the Alibaba group, in a deal valuing the property at S$1.68 billion.
  • Acted for the substantial shareholders of Perennial in their S$1.6 billion privatisation of Perennial Real Estate Holdings.
