Key insights on initiatives and developments following National Day Rally 2018
Prime Minister Mr Lee Hsien Loong delivered his National Day Rally speech on 19 August 2018. In the National Day Rally speech, common themes on the economy, healthcare and housing, which are consistent with highlights from the Budget Statement 2018, were again brought to the fore. These are themes previously discussed by the Allen & Gledhill Public Policy practice to be central to public policy developments in Singapore in 2018, and are likely to continue through the end of 2018 into 2019. Since the National Day Rally speech, new developments along these themes have followed.
