Wide capability and depth of experience

Our Capital Markets Practice advises on all forms of capital markets offerings.  Members of our equity markets team have had involvement in numerous public offerings (IPOs) in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. Our real estate investment trust (REIT) team is one of the most experienced in Malaysia, and is headed by Partners who were personally involved as lead counsel for one of the earliest, and three of the largest, REIT IPOs in Malaysia. On the debt capital markets front, we have acted across the spectrum of bond and note issuances, including in particular, a first-of-its-kind awarding-winning Islamic medium term notes programme.  

Besides IPOs and REITs, our experience in the equity markets includes secondary issuances on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, employee share schemes, and warrant issuances.  In relation to debt instruments, we are well-versed in a range of issuances, including guaranteed bonds, covered bonds, perpetual bonds, regulatory capital, convertible/exchangeable and other equity-linked bonds, commercial paper and medium-term notes, and sukuk. We also advise on the issuance of listed convertible loan stocks and redeemable preference shares, asset securitisations and structured finance.
