Jason Chan is a Senior Counsel in Allen & Gledhill’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution department. He is instructed to act for corporate and high net worth clients in a wide range of contentious matters, including Court litigation, international arbitration, regulatory disputes and investigations.

Leading publications recommend Jason, including Chambers Asia-Pacific, Lexology Index, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Asialaw, Doyle’s Guide and Benchmark Litigation. He is described as “highly eloquent” and “extremely fast in sizing up any complex issues”. Jason was named by Asia Legal Business as one of the Top 15 Litigators in Southeast Asia in 2023.

Jason was awarded an academic scholarship from the Singapore Public Service Commission to study law at the National University of Singapore and graduated in 2002 with an LLB (Hons) Degree (First Class). He was awarded a Legal Service Commission scholarship to study at Columbia University in the City of New York, where he obtained an LLM in 2009. In addition to being admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore, Jason is also an overseas member of the Chancery Bar Association of England and Wales.

After graduation, Jason joined the Singapore Legal Service and was appointed as a Justices’ Law Clerk to the Chief Justice and the Judges of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Singapore. In 2004, he served as a Deputy Public Prosecutor and State Counsel in the Attorney-General’s Chambers. In 2007, Jason was appointed an Assistant Registrar of the Supreme Court, and a District Judge of the Subordinate Courts. In 2010, he joined Allen & Gledhill’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution department and was named as a Partner in 2011.

Jason is a former President of the Law Society of Singapore. He has served on key committees concerning the legal profession in Singapore, including the Chief Justice’s Ethics and Professional Standards Committee and the Supreme Court’s Rules of Court Working Party. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Singapore Institute of Legal Education and on the Advisory Board of the Singapore Management University’s Yong Pung How School of Law.

Jason is the Singapore author of numerous publications, including The International Comparative Legal Guide to Corporate Investigations, The Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Review, and The Global Legal Insights to Bribery & Corruption.
